  3.  Welcome to the Tampa Bay Amiga Group's Disk of the Month. This disk is a
  4. collection of some of the best Public Domain & Shareware Software available
  5. for the Amiga. We do not charge for these programs and they may be given away
  6. freely. If there are any files on here that are not in the Public Domain or
  7. Shareware, let us know so we can remove them.
  8.  What's new about this disk is its Multi-tasking format for Workbench. Almost
  9. everything can be controlled from Workbench. All files run from icons and
  10. everything has documentation to teach you how to use it.
  11.  Now for the Multi-tasking set up. You will notice that all the windows open
  12. at the same place. This leaves the rest of the screen open to use disk icons
  13. and to move files from drawer to drawer via the icons. To see the different
  14. windows simply use the front & back gadgets to flip from window to window.
  15. This disk is set up for Dos 1.2 so it has a Ram Disk icon. Frequently used
  16. files may be moved into the ram window for super fast access. Programs such
  17. as picture files can be loaded, then using the front & back gadgets you can
  18. flip through the different screens. This set up takes full advantage of the
  19. front & back gadgets. Once you get use to this format you can set up all
  20. your Workbench type disk this way. Just replace the files in the drawers
  21. with your own selection of programs and rename the drawers to suit your
  22. needs. If you have a two drive system you can have both disk set up the
  23. same way. The more memory you have the more useful the format becomes.
  24.  If the Amiga is your first computer then getting use to the Workbench
  25. environment was probably rather simple. Now don't get me wrong, there is
  26. alot to learn about it, but using the mouse & icons was an easy concept to
  27. grasp. You click a picture that represents the task you want to perform,
  28. the program is loaded, and your up and running. 
  29.  Now if you owned a computer before you are more familiar with how to work
  30. in the CLI environment than Workbench (unless you owned a Macintosh). Now
  31. alot of people just stick to CLI and never take advantage of Workbench.
  32. Most say the reason is they can't do everything they need to do from
  33. Workbench. Truth is, Habits are hard to break. You get set in your ways,
  34. but with programs such as Dirutil that takes the place of many CLI commands,
  35. this is slowly changing. As the Workbench environment gets more efficient
  36. more people will start using it. Our format gives you the best of both
  37. worlds. Taking advantage of all the Workbench options plus a CLI window you
  38. can enter those needed keyboard commands.
